The whole Europe is facing the problem, that younger generation does not consider the agricultural sector attractive enough. In result we are facing the harsh truth that the average farmer is getting older. Therefore what should be the steps made to engage young entrepreneurs into agriculture.

Estonian Young Farmers are organizing an international conference on the 2nd of March in Estonia, via ZOOM. Experts from Estonia give us an overview where young farmers stand today and introduce the new ways of how to attract next generation of farmers. Furthermore what kind of different actions could help them succeed and be truly competitive.

Considering the fact that the farmers of the European Union face the same challenges in general we have invited guests from abroad. Young farmers from Latvia, Finland and France share their experiences and thoughts on how to empower next generation of farmers. Representing France is Samuel Masse who is the president of CEJA – European Council of Young Farmers representing young farmers across Europe.

For wrapping up the event a panel discussion is held, where the participants discuss about their role in the future of agriculture and their expectations as young farmers for the upcoming renewed common agricultural policy.

Young farmers, potential young farmers and everyone who feels that empowering the next generation of farmers is important are welcome.

Event will be held in ZOOM. Register to recive a link to the event. Presentations will have English or Estonian subtitles.
